TSTA members pay only $25 a year for the valuable benefits of membership, and TSTA relies on the support and goodwill of the people of Texas for the majority of its revenues. It is our policy to investigate any and all complaints involving solicitations made on our behalf by our fundraising contractor.  If you have a complaint, we want to hear it, and we will investigate it to the best of our ability and take appropriate action. Every telephone call made on our behalf by our fundraising contractor is recorded.

If you have a complaint, please send an email to TSTA's Executive Director Claude Hart at  We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint.  Please provide as much detail as possible.  You have our word that your personal information will not be sold, rented, given away, or used for any purpose other than to investigate your complaint.  To investigate your complaint, we ask that you provide us with your telephone number, your address, the name of the telephone service customer in your household, the date or dates you were contacted, any data appearing on your Caller ID, and any other details you can provide.  We often discover that the offensive solicitation was made by or on behalf of another organization with a similar name -- some of these groups are more legitimate than others, and some are downright unscrupulous. But if it was ours, we'll 'fess up to it, and we'll take appropriate action and tell you what that action is. We value your support of our Troopers, and your goodwill.  We've been serving and supporting the first-line officers of the DPS since 1984, and we couldn't do it without your loyal support.
